Register as a Paragon Childcare Professional

NNEB OC / NNEB Paragon welcomes applications from exceptional, properly qualified childcare professionals seeking private family roles in the UK and internationally.

​

We work with families, family offices and private households seeking candidates with recognised government regulated qualifications, training, professional judgement, discretion and excellent standards of care.

​

Registration is selective. We only accept candidates who can evidence appropriate qualifications, safeguarding checks, first aid, insurance and professional references.

Candidate eligibility

To register, candidates must provide evidence of:

Recognised qualification


A UK Government-recognised childcare qualification listed on the UK Government childcare qualification checker where applicable.

 

Short Maternity Nurse Courses & CPD Certificates

​

Please note that short maternity nurse courses, CPD certificates and specialist newborn-care awards are not accepted by NNEB Paragon as a substitute for a recognised professional childcare, nursing or midwifery qualification.

​

This applies even where a short course is described as being accredited or assessed at Level 3, Level 4 or Level 5.

​

Examples include, but are not limited to:

​​

  • Babyem Maternity Nurse Training / Maternity Practitioner courses

  • OCN-accredited Maternity Nurse or Postnatal Maternity Care Awards

  • Maternity Nurse Training (MNT) short courses

  • Newborn Care Specialist courses or certificates

  • Night Nanny training

  • Sleep Practitioner / Sleep Consultant courses

  • Breastfeeding, infant-feeding or lactation CPD courses

  • Reflux, colic, tongue-tie or other specialist baby-care courses

  • Doula or postnatal support courses

  • Online maternity nurse certificates

  • Other privately delivered CPD, attendance or professional-development certificates

 

These courses may provide additional professional development for an already-qualified maternity nurse, and relevant CPD is welcomed.

 

However, candidates wishing to register with NNEB Paragon must first hold an appropriate government recognised core qualification, such as a recognised childcare/early-years qualification, NNEB qualification, or professional nursing or midwifery qualification.

​

A collection of short courses and CPD certificates does not constitute a recognised core childcare qualification for NNEB Paragon registration.

 

We currently only accept applications from candidates whose principal professional childcare qualification was obtained in the UK. NNEB Paragon does not assess or determine the UK equivalency of overseas childcare qualifications.​

​

Enhanced DBS

 

A current Enhanced DBS certificate, preferably registered on the DBS Update Service.

 

Paediatric First Aid
 

A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate appropriate to childcare practice.

 

Professional insurance
 

Current nanny, maternity nurse or childcare professional indemnity/public liability insurance, where applicable to the role.

References
 

Strong, recent and verifiable professional references.

 

Right to work in the UK / travel

 

Evidence of right to work and passport status for UK or international placements.

Right to work in the EU / travel

 

Evidence of right to work and passport status for EU or international placements.

 

Registration Process

​

Please complete the registration form and upload your current CV.

​

Due to the volume of enquiries, we do not request full documentation at the initial registration stage.

 

Candidates who are considered suitable for current or future placements may later be invited to provide supporting documentation, which may include:

​

  • Qualification certificates

  • Enhanced DBS certificate and Update Service status

  • Paediatric First Aid certificate

  • Professional insurance

  • Written references

  • Passport and right-to-work documentation

Candidate Standards

​

We are primarily interested in hearing from:

​

  • Holders of recognised UK Government childcare qualifications listed on the UK Government childcare qualification checker

  • Qualified Nursery Nurses, Nannies and Maternity Nurses

  • Experienced childcare professionals accustomed to private household environments

  • Candidates with excellent professional references and a discreet, professional approach​

​

Candidates applying for positions caring for babies under 12 months of age will be required to complete the Lullaby Trust’s SIDS and Safer Sleep Training for Early Years Professionals and provide their certificate as part of their registration.

Important Information

​

Due to current international visa and travel requirements, only candidates holding a valid UK passport will be considered for advertised opportunities in the UK unless stated otherwise in the job advertisement. The same applies for jobs in the EU - a valid EU passport applies.  Candidates who fail to provide passport information, answer all mandatory questions, or fail complete the registration form in full will be automatically rejected and will not be considered for opportunities.
