Contribute to the NNEB 85th Anniversary Book

We are curating a special book of NNEB memories to mark the 85th anniversary of the National Nursery Examination Board.

This commemorative book will create a lasting legacy and celebrate the generations of gold-standard NNEB-trained nursery nurses and childcarers whose knowledge, professionalism and dedication helped shape childcare in the United Kingdom and around the world.

We would love you to contribute your own NNEB story.

You might like to tell us about:

​

  • Why you chose to undertake NNEB training

  • Your college, tutors, placements or examinations

  • Your uniform, badge or friendships

  • Your first position after qualifying

  • A memorable moment from your career

  • Where your NNEB qualification took you

  • What being an NNEB has meant to you

There is no need for your story to be written formally. We are interested in your own memories and experiences, in your own words.

Please submit your contribution using the form below. Contributions are being collected through this dedicated webpage and not by email.

You may choose to be credited by your full name, by your first name only, or remain anonymous. No email address is required.

​

If you are submitting anonymously, please do not include your name or other identifying information within your story.

​

Please do not identify children or families you have cared for or include confidential or sensitive information. If you wish to name a living colleague, tutor, employer or another individual, please ensure that you have their permission.

​

Approximately 250–1,000 words is ideal, although shorter memories are also very welcome.

Contribution Terms

By submitting your contribution, you confirm that:

  • The contribution is based on your own experiences and recollections and is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

  • You have not included confidential or sensitive information or identified children, families or other individuals without the appropriate permission.

  • The contribution is your own work and does not infringe another person’s copyright, privacy or other rights.

  • You retain copyright in your original contribution but grant NNEB OC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and continuing licence to edit, reproduce, publish and distribute it, in whole or in part, in the NNEB 85th Anniversary Book and associated NNEB OC promotional, historical and archival material. This may include printed and digital editions and copies offered for sale.

  • No payment or royalty will be due for the use of your contribution.

  • Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the book. NNEB OC reserves the right to select, decline, shorten or edit contributions for length, clarity, spelling, style, privacy, safeguarding or legal reasons.

  • NNEB OC will make reasonable efforts to follow your chosen attribution preference.

  • An anonymous contribution may be impossible to identify, amend or withdraw after submission. Once any contribution has entered production or been published, withdrawal or amendment may no longer be possible.

 

Any personal information you choose to provide will be handled in accordance with the NNEB OC Privacy Notice.
